The tour will comprise of the following:
- Shuttling to and from the Hotel
- Tour of the Bush Baby & Monkey Sanctuary
- Trip over the Hartbeespoort Dam
- Trip to the top of the Magaliesberg mountain via the Aerial Cableway
- Cooler box with ice cold water
- During the tour photos will be taken and placed onto your mobile phone
Be collected from your hotel at 07h00 and head for Hartbeespoort Dam area where we drive over the Dam wall, stopping to take pictures before departing to the Monkey Sanctuary. This is a privately owned reserve covering approximately 7 ha situated alongside the Magaliesberg Mountain Range. All the monkeys are taken in by the reserve from public donations and are funded by the guiding fees charged. Primates such as our Squirrel, Spider and Capuchin monkeys are given a new lease on life at the Sanctuary. Previously raised as house pets or breed for the pet trade, the monkeys are introduced into the wild world laden with waterfalls, lush vegetation, natural mountain springs. This gives them the chance to get back in their natural habitat. Here we get to walk around the enclosure on raised wooden walkways and for the brave 2 swing bridges to cross. We then depart for the Aerial Cableway which takes us to the peak of the Magaliesberg Mountain where you will get a bird’s eye view of the surrounding countryside, stretching from Pretoria to Johannesburg and maybe even the distant Pilanesberg Nature Reserve.
