Tour itinerary

You will be collected from your hotel at 07h00 and driven to a reserve a mere 45 minutes away. On arrival we will sit outside on the deck overlooking some of the most scenic area in the Magaliesberg whilst enjoying a hot beverage and a homemade muffin. We then all get onto an open 4 x 4 Game Viewer and head off in search of the elephants, he matriarch (Known as Three) and her two calves Marti and Hanna as your escort. If lucky you may just come across the local celebrity Jack our zebra whilst he watches over his herd of ladies. During the drive you will encounter a host of different antelope such as Blesbok, Blue Wildebeest, Impala and many more. On finding the Elephants we then get off our vehicle and spend half an hour with them. Here I will be taking picture for you so that you can enjoy the full moment of it, and not through the lens of a camera. After the personal relationship that you have built with them, we then get back onto the game viewer and head back to the lodge knowing you have connected with one of Mother Nature’s most awesome creatures. After an eventful morning with the elephants we then head out for Chameleon African Craft market. Here you will have the pleasure of walking around an area with 180 different stalls all enticing you to purchase a gift for a loved one back home. Once you have satisfied your purchasing needs we drive over the Hartbeespoort Dam wall, stopping to take pictures before departing to the Monkey Sanctuary. This is a privately owned reserve covering approximately 7 ha situated alongside the Magaliesberg Mountain Range. All the monkeys are taken in by the reserve from public donations and are funded by the guiding fees charged. Primates such as our Squirrel, Spider and Capuchin monkeys are given a new lease on life at the Sanctuary. Previously raised as house pets or breed for the pet trade, the monkeys are introduced into the wild world laden with waterfalls, lush vegetation, natural mountain springs. This gives them the chance to get back in their natural habitat.
